Ma Amala (Benny) Shamlou
I was born in Tehran and moved to Europe at a young age to study abroad. I was drawn to yoga when diagnosed with disorder in my immunity system and doctors did not have a solution for it. I was introduced to yoga in 2008 and found balance of strength and flexibility. I started feeling better so I decided to visit India in 2009, and was immersed in yoga ever since.
I studied Hatha, Kundalini, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Yin, completing my Teacher Training with Yoga branch as well as my 500 hours required certification in Yogaandmeditationcenter in 2017. I established iyogatransformation in 2010. I find joy in any yoga class, whether I am student or a teacher. Smiling while practicing will relaxes the body and lifts the spirit so my classes will always include laughter.
There is nothing more important to me than people feeling safe and supported in their own exploration and expression of their true self. Then inquiry of yoga is the perfect clearing for such profound and rewarding endeavor. The discoveries of Love, awareness, and courage are what continues to inspire me in my own journey of yogic path, and what called to serve as a teacher.
I am honored to to guide students in their journey of yoga to help them find connection through an enriching yoga practice that integrates breath and movement. I passionately and rhythmically guide students with an emphasis on detailed alignment and mindful movement in harmony with breath while challenging people to push their edge, mentally and physically but safely.
I enjoy working with students and helping people to get healthy. This is my Karma.

“Accepting means you allow yourself to feel whatever it is you are feeling at that moment. It is part of the isness of the Now. You can’t argue with what is. Well, you can, but if you do, you suffer.” ~ Eckhart Tolle
